Finally, a mani on a Monday. An actual Mani Monday!
This is the nail polish that was one of my preferred nail polish discoveries of 2016 as well as I even made the strong insurance claim that it’s the best formula I’ve tried all year – it is: CoverGirl Outlast stay fantastic nail Gloss in #95 Being Blonde.
The CoverGirl Outlast line of nail polishes don’t get talked about much, as well as I’m not sure why. I’ve now tried 3 different colours as well as the formulas on all of them have been outstanding. I hauled a lot of them earlier this year based on the outstanding formula. There are 38 shades in the range:
For some reason, I’ve not seen these polishes in stores, only online.
The shade Being Blonde is a lovely metallic mauve-y increased gold that is work-appropriate however likewise offers an edgy look.
The surface is metallic however not mirror radiate so it’s much more forgiving with clean strokes. This formula is whatever I desired Essie’s cent speak with be – that polish is so finicky – it demands a stable hand as well as completely smooth surface. CG Being Blonde looks fine even if you’re ill as well as have a shaky hand (which was the situation when I did these swatches ).
The clean is somewhat flattened as well as not as well broad – I choose the non-wide brushes personally. in some cases those “pro-wide” ones are as well big for my nail beds. Unfortunately, the square cap isn’t the kind that can be eliminated to expose a smaller deal with (like Burberry or Illamasqua). I discover these type of “fat caps” to be unwieldy. I do like the square, squat bottle – extremely simple to store!
This might be a one coater if you don’t tend to apply extremely thin layers. notice my sound finger is a bit on the sheer side as I did a thinner layer on that one.
I discover this polish to dry extremely quickly, as is common of metallic surface polishes. One caveat I would add is that because of the metallic surface of this polish, I would suggest a great base coat, otherwise ridges might show. I utilize Orly Bonder for all of my manicures.
This shade would be lovely on many skin tones, as it isn’t excessively warm or cool. The polish lasts amazingly well – full 7 days without any chips. It removes quickly with nail polish remover.
Today’s random product is this tulip handbag mirror that I purchased in Chinatown:
I enjoy the style of the petals, they’re asymmetrical when opened:
…but when closed, it develops the tulip shape:
Simple however wise design.
CoverGirl Outlast stay fantastic nail Gloss retails for $5.99 for a 11ml bottle as well as are made in France.
I like CoverGirl Being Blonde so much that I’ve bought 2 bottles for back-up. As I stated in that post, if required to work just one nail polish for the rest of this year, Being Blonde would be it! What’s your absolute preferred polish best now?
